Caymus is a scout in the Zedian rangers, an elite squad of trackers that protect and care for the forest and land surrounding Zedia. 

Caymus met Vulcana before she joined the rangers in Ankala's archery class. The two battled for top student and it's still a debate as to which is the better archer. 

Caymus comes from an elite line of  Zedian royalty famous in the military for its scouts. His ancestors founded the first elven capital at Zedia and with Ankala formed the Rangers.
